Just got back from a relaxing weekend in Breckenridge. My neighbor has a nice condo there by downtown, just a short walk from a main lift. A few of us went, and we had two very fun dogs to play/ take hiking. It was my first time there, the trees are just starting to change, it probably got 40F at night at the lowest. Very nice town, wasn't crowded at all, there were lots of sales at the shops downtown. I need to hurry up and get a ski pass for the winter!
We played disc golf in Frisco, they claim it is one of the highest elevation courses in the world at 9,600ft. There were lots of tree/obstacles which made me happy, even a lake lining a few holes. Sadly it used to be even nicer, but they had to cut a lot trees because of bark beetles. When we were about to leave we heard German/Polish music nearby, there happened to be a Oktoberfest at the park for beer and brats. Great ending.
Sounds like it was a fun trip! There were even bugs involved, my kind of vacation :) Ending it with a visit to Oktoberfest...perfect.
